About us…

Alisa Mujagic
Co-founder of Sense of Wholeness PLLC
I am a licensed professional counselor (LPC) with extensive experience working with individuals and families who experience Mental Health and/or Substance Use.
My passion and vision are to provide an evidence-based, holistic approach to well-being in a supportive and nurturing environment. I strive to establish trust through nonjudgmental and therapeutic partnerships with my clients. My personal life journey is also my source of empathy and compassion. I am driven by supporting others in overcoming challenges in their quest for well-being and desire to lead more fulfilling lives.
I bring my experience as a clinician and a former executive in the financial services industry. As someone who spent years in stressful work environments, I have a unique understanding of the impact of stressors or trauma on individuals and their families and their effect on an individual’s ability to overcome future challenges.
Although I grew up in Bosnia, my work and life experiences led me to integrate and adapt to multicultural and fast-paced environments, such as those in London, the UK, New York, and Atlanta. My approach considers the multicultural backgrounds and experiences of clients. It utilizes the most effective tools, from cognitive behavioral therapy to trauma-informed, solution-focused, mindfulness, and strength-based approaches.
Our work together will also consider and incorporate the latest research on how physical health and nutrition impact overall well-being. I have a Master’s in Mental Health and Wellness (MA Counseling) from New York University and a Master’s in Psychology (MSc Psychology) from Derby University in the UK.

Mental Health:
By embracing nurturing environments, our practitioners offer tailored mental health-focused solutions and therapy programs dedicated to
empowering you.
We offer client-centered approaches for the treatment of trauma, PTSD, bipolar disorders, emotional dysregulation, depression, anxiety, obsessive-compulsive disorders, life changes, grief, stress management disorders, career growth challenges, the impact of workplace bullying
and discrimination, behavioral weight loss and addiction.
If you are interested in particular evidence-based approaches, please do not hesitate to contact our staff member to provide you with more information.

Nutrition Program:
This program focuses on identifying and uncovering underlying problems
with digestion and energy balance. Evidence-based research supports our therapy plan methods to include and address a healthy digestive system in order to improve vitality and a general sense of well-being.
When these factors are identified, our specialists design a tailored
plan with our clients that contributes to their treatment and ability to successfully reach their goals.

Our practice
Our practice takes into consideration multiple aspects of personal experiences that play a role in personal well-being.
Our therapy goal is to work in collaboration with our client’s efforts to unlock the true potential of our client’s life.
Therefore, our holistic approach to therapy considers the connection between mental health with other aspects of wellness such as physical health and nutrition.

Physical Health and Fitness:
We understand that during therapy, clients are committed to
change.
However, the challenges continue when they return to their daily lives. Therefore, we consider programs and plans that offer additional support and services to sustain efforts and improve well-being.
Working with our clients on their particular physical health and fitness goals encourages accountability and hands-on collaboration between our practitioners and clients.
Although our main focus is to support our clients’ improvement of their mental health and wellness, we offer particular packages and different levels of engagement as needed per each client.
